so i did it....

today, i entered the world of runners.  i have been working towards my fitness goals, with my main cardio being kickboxing class, and doing some toning / strengthing work on my arms.  but when my gym replaced the kickboxing instructor with some crazy woman with freakishly large calves whose idea of kickboxing class is 10 minutes of stretching and a half hour of jumping jacks, i decided i would have to find another cardio activity.  i have always admired runners, and i'm intrigued by the way that runners are so addicted to pounding the pavement, like they get some strange high from it...  so i decided to give it a shot.  i started today with a 2-mile brisk walk / jog.  i kind of liked it.  i dont know yet why it's so addicting, but i'm going to keep it up.  to try to stay motivated i've set a few goals for myself - going from 0 to runner is going to take some progression.

Goals:

1.  Make a regular habit out of jogging

2.  Jog / Run (not walk) the holiday 5K in december.  i realize 5k isnt very far, so this should be an attainable goal

3. Re-claim bombshell status by the beginning of March
